Just quickly!

About 3 weeks ago I ordered Divine Mercy In My Soul which is the Diary of St. Faustina as I had been reading some of it online (and Im not much of an online reader so much as I am a reader of physical books) and it's estimated time of delivery was january or february of 2006 (oh the joy of living in Australia!!) but I received it today!! What a great surprise! I am so pleased!

Not only that, but my Divine Mercy picture also came!

Thanks Lord Jesus! :D

It is amazing how sometimes you can find the right Book, bible verse, song, or whatever that means something to you at the right moment. That is the work of the holy spirit in your life.

By the way, I love sarcasm and twisted humor.

Oh, and one more thing check out

www.ccel.org

You can down load a lot of these older works for free. They have Kempis, Spurgeon, St. Bernard of Clairvaux, etc. It's a good sight.

At twice your age, ahem, I am coming to the Catholic faith for the first time, leaving behind a quarter decade as a Protestant, twenty one of those years spent as a minister {or in training}. My whole family is coming along with me and that is the grace of God for sure!

May the Lord bless you and keep you {He has!} and make the radiance of His face to shine on you, glowing like, so that others will come to know the God who has loved you so richly and so faithfully.

A blessed Christmas to you.
Owen

P.S. I and my whole family share your passion for books in print on actual pages. Though I am grateful for online libraries such as ccel.org where I happen to be reading Lilith by George MacDonald. However, curling up with the laptop isn't the same as curling up with an actual book is it?

I am curious to check out St.Faustina's diary now!
Also this ccel.org, I have never heard of it, where have I been???

I just discovered it myself, like a year ago. It's not exactly a block buster subject.

Wow, thanks for all the useful links! And wonderful comments! :) It's so heart warming to read that I'm not alone in my faith as sometimes it feels...

Carmel, the parts that I have read from the Diary of St. Faustina is so uplifting and amazing. Seriously! The way Jesus speaks to her! What a true gift... You MUST read it! There's a link on the right to the book online or you can get it from Amazon like I did.

Owen, youre right! Ive tried doing the curling up with the laptop thing before, and it doesnt ever work!! lol.

Take care guys, God Bless!

Cube Heads are the people listed on my blog role. It started off as a joke, a guy and I got into it a bit and I so appreciated him after words I made him the first "cube head" (Im the cubicle reverend, get it?) creating a bogus shirt to give to them, etc. So any time I'd add someone to my blog roll I'd welcome them as a Cube Head and promise them this t-shirt that didn't exist. Well next thing I know someone actually wanted one (thanks a lot carmel) and this Cube Head thing that started as a joke has taken on a life of its own. Pretty much, if I like what you write you are in.
